​After showing & breeding in Bull Terriers for over 35 years and Miniature Bull Terriers for over 25 years I was honoured to be invited to judge both breeds at Crufts. I would like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me in both breeds. I had an outstanding entry in both breeds in quality and quantity including an apparently record entry in Miniature Bull Terriers at Crufts. This made for lots of very close decisions and in some of the larger classes normally super dogs and bitches were left unplaced. As a vulnerable breed, the Miniatures in particular have come on in leaps and bounds in type, size & depth of quality, especially from the continent. This improvement has happened within about the last 15 years which is a relatively short time for any breed and is a testament to the breeders around the world. There have been great minis prior to this but generally they could be counted on 1 hand and  there were very few minis shown or bred outside the UK, Australia & the US. This holds the breed in good stead for the future.

1st CH/INT CH CH MERLINDAN CAPTAIN CHAOS (MRS D BROMMONT-LOTHARY)
Smart showy black brindle and white dog. Lovely sweep to his head with decent fill. Lovely straight front and good hind angulation. Excellent reach of neck and shapely fore chest. Moved fairly parallel coming and going. Super showman presented in immaculate condition. Good size. Best Veteran. Excuse me for mistaking this class for Open Dog with the quality of the dogs in the class.
2nd MULTI CH CH CANABULL NORTH WIND (IMP ESP) (MRS T FLETCHER)
Ultra typy white dog. Lovely turned and filled head. Straight front when standing. Shapely and balanced throughout with lovely reach of neck and neat feet. Good size. Another super showman presented in immaculate condition. Moved better behind than in front. Preferred the movement of 1. A very close decision.
3rd REBEL SPIRIT HAYEMAKER (ATCAR00653DEU) (MR R BOERNER)
Really cobby little brindle and white dog. Super head and expression. Straight front with bone and substance. Really typy and good size. Lacked slightly in back end. Covered the ground on the move. Another super showman presented in immaculate condition.

Typy smart black brindle and white dog. Super head with sweeping profile and excellent fill with good mouth. Neat ears and good eye. Straight front with neat feet. Good bone and hind angulation. Sparkling condition and good size. Doesn’t make the most of himself. Moved better behind than in front but covered the ground.
2nd BULLINVICTUS RAGTIME (ATCAW02432POL) (MRS K STRYSZAK)
Black brindle and white dog. Longer turned head with good fill up and mouth ok. More up on the leg than 1. Straight front with shapely fore chest and good hind angulation. Moved fairly parallel coming and going. Not as balanced as 1 and preferred 1’s mini type.

Powerful upstanding balanced brindle and white dog . Superb head which is filled right up with sweeping profile, good mouth and strong under jaw. Lovely reach of neck with straight front and neat feet. Compact body with shapely fore chest and well sprung rib. Moved better behind than in front. Holds tail a bit high. Superb eye catching showman who demands attention. Not as small as some of his competitors but holding all the cards in the virtue department. RDCC
2nd CANABULL KING LANDING (ATCAW02800ESP) (J J FUENTEFRIA IZQUIERDO)
Typy compact smaller white dog. Not as mature as 1. Lovely head with excellent fill. Wicked expression with good mouth. Really balanced with straight front and neat feet. Sparkling white jacket and good hind angulation.  Moved really well with drive from behind, closer in front. 
3rd TERRANO EWIMARK RAKOWNIA (ATCAW02952POL) (MRS A & MR M FITALI)
Balanced cobby little white dog. Nicely made throughout. Good length of head with decent fill up, good mouth and wicked eye. Prefer less roach on his top line but the best mover in this large class. Good show boy.

Balanced white dog. Head lacks turn and fill. Mouth Ok. Straight front and good hind angulation. Moved well behind and jaunty in front. Attentive showman.

Really masculine cobby black brindle and white dog. Super sweeping head with excellent fill up. Good ear set. Mouth fault. Shapely fore chest and straight front with neat feet. Good reach of neck. Typy and well balanced throughout. Prefer more hind angulation. Moved parallel, although a little wide in front and showed well.
2nd CHATTANOOBA CHOO CHOO AEDESTAURUM (MR & MRS J HARPER)
Balanced compact solid red dog. Good size. Lovely sweeping profile with fill up. Mouth fault. Straight front with neat feet. Good reach of neck. Good showman. Drove from behind, closer in front. Could have carried a tad more weight today. Very close decision between 1 and 2.

Compact red and white dog. Turned head with fill and mouth OK.  Straight front with neat feet. Good size. Fairly well made throughout. Covered the ground on the move. Attentive showman.

Ultra typy eye catching dog with sparkling white jacket. Strong completely filled head with width and good profile. Ears bang on top with wicked eye making piercing expression. Good mouth. Good length of neck leading into well laid shoulders and straight front with neat feet. Shapely and balanced throughout. Good size. Well muscled and turned quarters which he used to move with drive around the ring. Moved fairly parallel although a tad wide in front. A very animated showman who gave his all. DCC BOB

Super quality brindle and white mini boy who caught my eye in this exceptionally high quality class. Lovely sweeping profile which is filled right up. Good eye and neat ear set giving excellent expression. Good mouth. Lovely  reach of neck leading into a good lay of shoulder. Straight front with neat feet and shapely fore chest. Well turned quarters, tended to carry tail high. Super size and balance. Moved with drive and covered the ground. Once settled showed well although had a tendency to sit. Loved this dog, once fully mature will be hard to beat.
3rd CH DOFRO AVENGING STORM (MR & MRS J & A EMETT)
Eye catching smart black brindle and white dog. More up on the leg than 1 and 2 with ample bone. Well turned head with good fill and finish. Mouth OK. Good ear set and well placed eye giving great expression. Good reach of neck with straight front and neat feet. Good hind angulation. Moved better behind than in front. Faded slightly towards the end of this large class.

Pretty feminine black brindle and white bitch, smaller in size than 1. Beautiful turned and filled head. Good mouth. Straight front with neat feet and decent hind angulation. Moved fairly well both ways. Seemed a bit overawed initially but settled. 
3rd YOELIN BONSAI VON AMADIS (ATCAX00009DEU) (MR Z BAGI)
Petite feminine black brindle and white bitch. Lovely turned and filled head. Good mouth. Well made throughout and balanced . Moved parallel both ways. The baby of the 3 in this class. Excellent showgirl.

Stylish and shapely black brindle and white bitch who caught my eye and grew on me as the class went on. Super sweeping profile to head with good fill. Nice ear placement.  Decent under jaw and good mouth. Lovely swan like neck into well laid shoulders and straight front with neat feet. Balanced throughout with well angulated quarters. Moved with drive and held top line on the move. Showed her virtues off and I couldn’t deny her the Bitch CC. BCC
2nd GRAYMOR GLACIAL ICE (MR & MRS G A HUGHES)
Eye catching white bitch. Lovely turned and filled head with good mouth. Wicked eye and neat ear set. Lovely reach of neck and straight front with neat feet. Excellent hind angulation. Very shapely and balanced throughout. Moved fairly parallel. Takes time to settle and show her virtues. Considered her for the Res CC but didn’t settle enough to make the most of herself when called back in to challenge. 
3rd SHACALS SEVEN WONDER AT TOPASBULLY (MR & MISS P & A VYSOTSKI & MALCHANOVA)
Upstanding balanced black brindle and white bitch. Sweeping profile to head, just prefer more strength in the muzzle. Wicked eye and expression. Lovely reach of neck with straight front and good hind angulation. Covered the ground on the move . Excellent showgirl. Just needs to body up more.
