I would like to thank the Southern Miniature Bull Terrier Club’s Committee for the invitation and honor to judge such a fabulous entry. A grateful thank you to the Hospitality Committee for the lovely luncheon provided for us at the judging break. Certainly, I would be remiss in not acknowledging my wonderful ring steward, Heulwen Bloom, who kept me on pace and made sure all was running smoothly at ringside. I truly enjoyed my assignment. My congratulations to the winners and my appreciation to all who brought me their dogs on the day.
I do want to extend my apologies for the lateness of this critique. As I am sure you realize, it’s such a busy time of year for everyone with the Holidays approaching and being away from home for 12 days, it was a major catching up upon returning home, preparing for Christmas with family, a litter due Christmas week and my own club shows in Palm Springs on January 4-6th, for which I am ultimately responsible. I sit here now and wonder how did I do all that? Time to breathe a sigh of relief and carry on to the next event.

White dog whose head is well filled with good depth. Nice eye and ear placement. Fairly well made and balanced. Moved well on both ends.

Typy red and white dog with a lovely head, gentle in profile and filled right to the end of his muzzle with a correct bite. Nice eye for expression but ears could be tidier. Strong hindquarters, with nice second thigh and good bend of stifle. Shoulder lay could be better. Moves fairly well on both ends. Shown in tip-top condition. RDCC

White dog that catches your eye right off with his beautiful head, filled right up and nicely turned. Small dark eye and tiny ears right on top for that wanted expression. Unfortunately, his mouth is not correct. Upstanding mini with enough bone for his larger frame, good in front and nice small feet. Nicely balanced with well set on quarters, could use more bend of stifle with a stronger second thigh. Does well on the move both in front and behind. Show in beautiful condition. DCC

Red and white dog with a very nice head, filled and clean all the way through the muzzle with a good bite. Well made on both ends with a nice straight front, good bone and substance for his size and well-developed hindquarters. Moves well on both ends

Ultra feminine red and white bitch with a pretty head, nicely turned. Nice eye and ear placement. Just enough bone for her frame. Moved adequately, doing better in the rear than in front.

Front assembly is marred by a rather short upper arm. Hindquarters are strong and well-muscled. She moved quite well behind but very restricted in front.

Still moves out well and covers the ring with ease. Forgiving a bit here with age, but all in all a worthy first place today. She won on her overall breed type.
2nd CH GRANDOPERA GLOBAL WARMING AT DELEKTABUL (MR & MRS & MISS D & E & V CLARK)
Wonderful older girl who is very well made and in good condition for her years. Her head is still sufficiently filled with good width. Nice eye and ears right on top. Being somewhat of a heavyweight for a mini, its catching up with her, albeit she can still move out and does well on the go.
