JUDGES MAUREEN WARD (MW) & PENNY SANDS (PS)
(MW)
A pleasure working with my co-judge Penny Sands, although judging independently there was little difference in placing, we agreed afterwards we were splitting hairs. Although there is still room for improvement on dentition, overall quality was good and my thanks to exhibitors for bringing their exhibits in good fit condition.
(PS)
It was a genuine pleasure to co-judge with Maureen Ward. The format was slightly different to the 'Big Boys' trophies as we were judging autonomously, having said that there was not much difference in our placings, we really were splitting hairs. I found mouths, plus upright shoulders with short upper arms still a problem, but there was quality to be seen.
Best White Bitch of the Year - Decadance Cup
DECADANCE DRAGONFLY (MR D & MRS D DANCE)
MW
Strong headed white bitch, lovely down face, scores in head, eye and ear placement adding to expression with strength in front, strong boned legs, well off for substance, good front movement. Would just like a slightly more firmer topline which was one of the deciding factor in the challenge, but I am splitting hairs. Liked her as a puppy, nice to see the finished article, and see her go Best Runner-up.
PS
this heavyweight girl has a strong and well filled head with good sweep. I would prefer a more reach of neck and she is a little straight in upper arm. She is strong all through with good bone, and well angulated, muscular quarters, this is all topped off with a good harsh coat and neat feet. Overall Runner-Up.
Runner-up,
GLENMORANGIE OF CALIBER (MR & MRS W LAMBERT)
MW
Liked the overall profile of this smart white lady, smaller frame, lovely head, feminine without losing strength or shape, good eye placement enhancing her expression. Not the strength in front as first but well rounded body shape and kept her topline on the move.
PS
A beautiful and well-schooled feminine young lady of a good size with a perfect mouth, loved her head and expression with its correct fill and profile, a super compact package, held her topline on the move. Alas, a tad out at elbow. She was most attentive to her handler painting a most professional looking pair.

MW
Lovely overall shaped body not let down with his head this smart black brindle, good down face not broken, clean mouth and neat ears, has substance to match in front, well ribbed with good overall bone, not coarse, has style, moved well for handler, keeping his topline.
PS
Smart and shapely black brindle and white boy, strong head with good down face, mouth OK, neat ears, good front and shoulders, well boned but not coarse and has a strong loin, held his topline on the move.
Runner Up
DECADANCE DEFENDER (MR M DODWELL)
MW
Like his litter sister, excels in well filled head with no break in profile, liked his neck into well placed shoulders, body frame has substance to match overall body shape and size. Slightly longer cast than 1, also saw as puppy and nice to see with maturity.
PS
This lad is top sized, very substantial. Another with a good head, decent neck and shoulder, and deep chest. Although I would prefer a slightly shorter back. Muscular and well angulated quarters and used them on the move.
Best Coloured Bitch of the Year - SMBTC Shield
GRAYMOR GALLIANO BY BYZANTINE (MRS J PEAKIN)
MW
Compact and well marked red and white lady, liked her overall balance of bone and substance with no exaggerations, feminine head without losing strength, clean mouth, well placed eyes and ears, strong forelegs with nice compact feet, strength in front, well rounded body into well laidback shoulders, not disappointed with rear angulations, best mover both fore and aft giving her the edge to take Overall Winner.
PS
Beautiful and elegant red and white youngster who is very well balanced, feminine head but it's not lacking and mouth OK, correct topline, well sprung ribs, shapely and well muscled quarters and moved well both ways, expertly handled, both in perfect harmony together to take the overall winners place. Min Bull T of the Year
Runner-up
NABULLTIQUE HOLY MOLEY (MISS J H & MR N J PLUMLEY & WORKMAN)
MW
Lovely tricolour, good turned head shape, well filled. Not quite the neat ears of above. Balanced body shape with overall size and body substance proportions, nice package all round. Would have liked a bit more drive from behind.
PS
Super tricolour with a most pleasing head that's well turned and filled. Would prefer a neater ear, alas, her mouth isn't good. Well balanced with a strong body which is all in proportion plus excellent bone.
The Zedbees Memorial Trophy for Best Miniature Bull Terrier 14 inches or under
KOFYN KONTESSA VON HOFSTETTER (MRS J WRIGHT)
MW
Nice head shape, good size and body shape going under the measure, has overall substance to height and bone, showed well for handler. Feel rear movement would improve if moved at a slightly faster pace.
PS
Feminine and balanced bitch built on classic lines, nice profile. A tad more fill and a stronger under jaw would be to an advantage. One of the more finer boned ladies. Moved OK but would prefer a bit more drive from the rear.
