It was such a pleasure to judge at this lovely show and although the weather was very warm, we made best use of the shaded tents. I had some super dogs forward with a strong contingent from abroad, ultimately giving me the BOB. What a stunning dog he is and so was delighted to watch him make the cut in the group.

Brindle and white 8 year old quality dog who excels in head, make and shape. Loved his head – long, strong and completely filled. Super expression. Deep body with good lay of shoulder, rear angulation and excellent bone and feet. A touch long in loin. Congratulations to his owners for keeping him in such super condition. Moved OK and was delighted to award him BV

Very smart Black brindle and white 7 month old. Loved his bone, substance and good front and rear angulation. Would prefer slightly more length of upper arm. Super feet. Pleasing headpiece with very good length and gentle profile. More fill to come no doubt. Excellent expression with small eye and good earset. Perfect mouth. Moved well for a baby. BP

Brindle and white substantial, quality dog with super, short back and gun barrel front. Loved his make and shape with excellent topline and tailset. Excellent, neat cat feet. Moved accordingly. Very good head with length, gentle profile, and plenty of fill. A super, varminty expression competed the picture. Perfect mouth. The heat got to him a little but still gave me enough to award him RDCC

2 years white dog. Well, what can I say.. This is probably the best dog I have seen in years. He fulfils the template of what I look for in a Mini; substance, balance, an outstanding, complete head with profile, fill, depth, finished with the most punishing expression and correct mouth, excellent lay of shoulder and length of upper arm, giving a good forechest into a short back and correct topline and tailset. Super movement with reach and drive. All of this is combined with the cherry on top of quality and screams type. I was more than delighted to award him DCC and BOB and if he doesn’t make up in short order I’ll eat my hat. DCC & BOB
2nd CHATTANOOBA CHOO CHOO AEDESTAURUM (MRS J A HARPER)
Solid red smut 6 years. Very unlucky to meet 1 today. Another super boy who I’ve admired for a long time. Strong headed dog with length, profile and plenty of fill. Super, punishing expression and neat ears. Mouth just under but correct canines. Substantial and masculine. Not the length of upper arm of 1 and was feeling the heat a little today. Moved OK. Pushed hard in the challenge and it was a close decision with movement just tipping the balance.

Black brindle and white litter sister to above. Another smart baby. Similar comments apply. I just preferred the topline and tail carriage of 1.

White with black ears/eye patch. Eye catching, quality, bitch with substance, balance, elegance and breed type. Lovely headpiece with gentle profile, plenty of fill and turn, topped off with a stunning expression and a perfect mouth. Shapely body lines with good lay of shoulder and rear angulation. Well sprung ribs. Would prefer a touch more length of upper arm. Moved really well both ways, showing reach and drive. The extra edge of quality and shapely body tipped the balance in the challenge for me, and I was pleased to award her the BCC – her second I understand - and I’m sure her third won’t be far away. BCC

Brindle and white. More terrier type than 1 and not quite the expression or movement. Nonetheless, a very smart, quality girl with lovely length of neck, good lay of shoulder and length of upper arm. Super neat feet. Feminine head with excellent profile with length and finish and plenty of fill. Perfect mouth. Moved OK and presented to perfection.

Tiger brindle and white. Shapely and substantial girl with super, short back. Slightly short upper arm. Deep brisket and good bone on this girl. Strong head with with length, fill and turn. Good expression and ears on top. Mouth OK. Moved well both ways. Scored on substance, shortness and head fill.
2nd OAKFAYRE'S EMPRESS ETERNAL (MS A THOMPSON)
Brindle and white another substantial girl who decided to perfectly demonstrate breed temperament today and act the clown. I think any non breed specialists who comment on handling should appreciate that breed temperament is actually a component of type! although she certainly made her handler work hard. Good headed girl with strength and length of head. Gentle profile and good depth and width but not quite the fill under eye of 1. Mouth OK. Good depth of brisket and plenty of bone. Moved OK once settled.
