BP  GWENEVERE MERLINDAN VON AMADIS (IMP DEU) (MR & MRS D J MCGREGOR)

I was so shocked to find so many inverted canines in the breed. I do consider this a serious health issue and felt it my duty to abide by KC directives and withhold prizes where I thought there was a serious health issue. I considered slightly undershot or dropped incisors to be a fault only and placed those dogs, as I did the fat dogs, high tail set dogs and oversized dogs. This is the most I have ever withheld in any breed at a Ch show in this country, and can only say to breeders that you really should address this fault as a matter of urgency. There were enough males and females present with perfect bites to be used in breeding. The winners were lovely examples of the breed. Pleased to hear it was the males third CC and the bitch's fifth CC, with two very good Terriers in Reserve spots. I did think carefully about my actions and realise as an exhibitor myself just how costly it is to attend shows. I could not let this grave fault pass however, and hope that things improve in the next few years.

2nd LAFENICE JOEY TRIBIANI (MISS K A LEWIS)
Undershot by a long way, otherwise a nice boy, pleasing down face, very well muscled, tail set too high and carried up, excellent quarters and moved well.

Limit Dog Entries 3 Absentees 1
1st DUCASSOS COEUR DE LION (MR & MRS P & M CSERFALVI-YOUNG)
Lovely headed dog, pleasing fill in a roman finish, rather straight in shoulders and dips behind the withers, tail set too high and croup too flat, lovely quarters, well ribbed and very powerful all through
2nd WENGORMICK PETITE PIRATE (MRS & MS W & K WHITTAKER)
A bigger boy, not the fill in under the eyes of winner, better shoulder than winner, overstretched himself standing and underline could have more tuck up, fair mover

Open Dog Entries 6 Absentees 2
1st DEBULLY SHOOTING STAR (MR & MRS C & G DOBBIN)
Grand dog, lovely head, down face is sweeping from top of skull to tip of nose, smallish eyes set well in, strong muzzle, sound front, short firm back, well set tail. I would like less weight and a slight tuck-up, otherwise a star DCC
2nd BULLYON BACK TO THE MEASURE (MR & MRS M B PHILLIPS)
A little squarer and not the lay of shoulder of above. He does look a Miniature though and has a smart outline, just a trifle long cast, good quarters, tail carried too high, super width and he looks to have some quality. RDCC

Puppy Bitch Entries 6 Absentees 2
1st GWENEVERE MERLINDAN VON AMADIS (IMP DEU) (MR & MRS D J MCGREGOR)
Lovely bitch baby, nicely made tail set and carried too high, otherwise a really beautiful girl, full of promise, gorgeous head and dark eyes, strong under-jaw, neat ears, strong well rounded neck, good front and rear angulation, a nice sound and jaunty mover. BP
2nd QUAYARDSON LADY WILLOW (MISS J & MRS S RICHARDSON)
Another lovely bitch puppy, just a little more forward in shoulder than winner, liked her head and profile of down face, just a slight break over the eyes, good body, tail set too high, powerful rear and she too moves well, if 'bouncy'
3rd HOFSTETTER MY INTIMATE (MRS J WRIGHT)

Junior Bitch Entries 5 Absentees 2

1st UKUSA MALEFICIENT (MR & MRS G & A NEWBERRY)
Lovely bitch of 13 months, striking outline, lovely head and finish, ears set well back and neatly erect, sound front and rear, sweeping outline from nose to tail. I liked her a lot and she moves truly, she played up in the challenge but was head of her competitors enough to win the RBCC
2nd GRANDOPERA MOCKINGBIRD OF MERLINDAN (MR & MRS D J MCGREGOR)
A bit plainer and longer in backAlso has a good outline and is very feminine, good bite (after a struggle with her mouth), fair mover, needs a touch more bone I thought.
3rd WITHHELD

Post Graduate Bitch Entries 2 Absentees 0
1st CALL ME BEAUTY VON DEUTSCHE STIL AT GRAYMOR (IMP ESP) (MR & MRS G A HUGHES)
Lovely size and super temperament, good head, eyes, set well in dark and sparkling. A bit overweight in body and she could lose a little in her tummy, it would strengthen her topline, good pigment and moves ok.
2nd WITHHELD

Limit Bitch Entries 4 Absentees 1
1st WENGORMICK PETITE PLAYGIRL (MRS & MS W & K WHITTAKER)
Liked her head and expressive eyes, maybe needs a little more underjaw and certainly needs some tuck up, powerful straight mover, good bone for size, big enough though.
2nd DUVESSA GAIA (MR A SHIPP)
A touch smaller, but rather long in back and very flat over croup, tail set too high, moves well all round.
3rd BADLESMERE BETTY BOO (MR G CARROLL)

Open Bitch Entries 2 Absentees 0
1st CH KOFYN KANDY KRUSH (MR M J PRESLAND) Her movement is certainly perfection absolutely true, straight and jaunty, top size but by nowhere near the tallest, sweeping down face, cheeks could be a touch smoother, nicely set eyes, good bone, tail set too high, in good coat and muscular condition BCC BOB
2nd DUVESSA LAST LADY (MRS D VICKERS)
Her ears are amazing, correct as the standard requires. Absolutely erect, thin, placed close together and they do add to her appeal. I admired her head, front placed too far forward and she pins in. Ok in body and rear, tail too high set and carried up.
