I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my first CC appointment by both entering and exhibiting. With the location and re-scheduled date of a Monday I was thrilled with not only the number of entries but the quality too. I had a couple of tough decisions to make on the day, all of which were taken with great sportsmanship from exhibitors – the future of our breed is very bright with lots of quality minis and great people, and I’m honoured to be a small part of it.

8 years old white boy presented in lovely condition with a bright white coat. Strong profile but lacking a little in fill, good expression enhanced by good use of his small well placed ears. Strong front, tight tucked in elbows and neat feet. Short back and well muscled hind quarters. He moved well both way’s, shown and handled to perfection.

1st HOWFENBULLS DARK KNIGHT (MR & MRS S & N BATTEL)
8 month black brindle boy who’s beautiful coat gleamed in the sun. Head has fill but would prefer more profile and width, Correct mouth. Long elegant neck into correct shoulders, tucked in elbows and a short back. He tends to stand a tad over stretched which doesn’t help his rear angulation, but when settled he actually moved very well both ways holding his topline throughout. Still very much a puppy who enjoyed his time in the ring.

1st TINY AMIGOS NIGHT KING (IMP NOR) NAF (MR & MRS S & B BOYNE)
Beautifully presented 9 month old rich brindle boy. Super strong head with sweeping profile and excellent fill, tiny eyes and ears giving correct expression. Correct length of neck into well laid shoulders, a little long cast. Good bend of stifle with well muscled quarters for a puppy which he used well when moving. Moved well and with drive. Considered him for RCC but just preferred the overall balance and maturity of the RCC winner but a promising typy puppy who is yet to fully mature, I’m sure he has an exciting future ahead.
2nd PASHINKABULL MONSTER (MRS G HARWOOD)
9 month old black brindle boy. Head has good width, would prefer more profile and fill, wicked expression with tiny eyes and well placed ears. Long neck into correct shoulders with tight tucked in elbows, moved well both ways and held his topline.
3rd RISIBULLY ANARCHY IN THE UK (MRS K HULL)
9 month old brindle and white boy presented in lovely condition. Strong head with sweeping profile, well filled with good width and correct mouth. Really didn’t want to co-operate with his handler today who did a great job! but the outdoor ring was far too much fun for this lively young boy who sadly didn’t settle.

14 month black brindle boy who with every bark shouted “look at me”. Super masculine male who is really well balanced. Powerful head with excellent fill and width, correct mouth with big white teeth and wicked expression. Strong front and forechest, tight tucked in elbows and great bone for his size. Correct length of back and well bent stifles, moved well, with drive and held his topline well. Pleased to award him RDCC

1st BADLESMERE BARBED WIRE AND HOWFENBULLS (MR & MRS S & N BATTEL)
2 years old white boy. Good head which has a sweeping profile with good finish and fill, correct ears but a kind eye softens his expression. A tad upright in shoulder, good bone for his size and tidy feet. Strong well muscled hind quarters, moved better behind than in front.

2 years old brindle and white boy presented in perfect hard condition. Had my attention the minute he entered the ring and for me, today, was in a league of his own. Strong powerful head, excellent profile with width, depth and fill, nothing is overdone, correct mouth. Superb expression and really used his ears well. Elegant neck into well laid shoulders, strong front with tight elbows and feet. Good bone for his size, short back and good bend of stifle. Moved well with drive and held his topline. Super masculine and so well balanced, perfectly handled, I was proud to award him DCC BOB
2nd CHATTANOOBA CHOO CHOO AEDESTAURUM (MR J HARPER)
4 years old red male who I have long admired and had the pleasure of judging previously. Typy male with many virtues, good head with gentle sweeping profile and plenty of fill, tiny eye and correct ears giving him great expression. Correct front and shoulders, tight tucked in elbows and short back with good rear angulation. Preferred his front movement to his rear today. Well handled and beautifully presented.

6 years old white male. What a happy chap he was today, made his handler and myself work and giggle! Head lacks in profile and fill, his small eye and ears give him a good expression. Good length of neck but upright in shoulder. Well muscled quarters with good angulation which he used well once he decided to move. A pleasure to judge and well handled.

10 month old brindle and white bitch. Feminine girl with strong long head which is filled right up with excellent finish, a little kind in the eye, correct mouth. Super elegant neck into well laid shoulders, strong forechest and tight elbows. Short back and good bend of stifle, moved well both ways and held her topline. Really well balanced girl and whilst not overweight I wouldn’t want to see her any heavier than today. BP
2nd RISIBULLY GIRLS ON FILM WITH FERGUSTAFF (MRS L J MARSHALLSAY)
9 month old well marked tricolour bitch. Super feminine and so pretty, different type to 1st. Sweeping profile with good fill and excellent expression. Elegant neck would prefer a better lay of shoulder. Good bone for her size and correct rear angulation. Moved well, presented in lovely condition and very well handled, a young girl with many virtues just preferred the overall balance of 1st.

3 years old black brindle and white bitch who I think needs to be handled to fully appreciate her many virtues. A feminine girl with a sweeping, unbroken profile, head has good fill and width with correct expression and correct mouth. Correct length of neck into well laid shoulders and a strong fore chest. Correct length of back and good rear angulation, a really well balanced girl. Covered the ground well and moved with drive, holding her topline throughout.
2nd GRANDOPERA CLASSICIST (MR & MRS & MRS D & E & V CLARK & CLARK & FOX)
2 years old black brindle and white bitch presented in beautiful condition, different type to 1st but with equally as many virtues. Strong head with excellent length and filled right up, small eye and correct ears gave her great expression. Correct length of neck into a strong front with an absolute abundance of bone for her size and tight tucked in elbows. Short back and really well muscled rear quarters. Moved well, she was a little closer behind in her rear movement than 1st, but was a close class, handled perfectly.
3rd KILTONTHORPE MIDNIGHT MOON WITH KLEWBULL (MISS K MANSELL)
2 year old black brindle bitch. Beautifully presented, head has good fill, would prefer more profile and width, dark tiny eye’s and well placed ears, correct mouth. Elegant neck and correct front, a little long in back but moved well both ways.

1st BADLESMERE BIBI (MR P D ENGLISH)
3 years old white bitch with eye marking. Presented in beautiful condition (although with an usually long fluffy coat) who really caught my eye when she entered the ring. Strong head with good profile, width and fill and wicked expression. Correct shoulders and a strong fore chest, good bone and super short back. Well angulated rear quarters which she uses to move with real drive. Showed like a bomb and really well handled. Pushed super hard in the challenge and i really did consider her, today I just preferred the more elegant neck of the CC winner, but it was a close call, a beautiful girl who I will follow with interest. 2nd TINY AMIGO'S MY PRECIOUS AT BOANNADEEN (IMP NOR) (MR & MRS S & B BOYNE)
4 years old well mark brindle and white bitch, also in beautiful condition. Strong head with enough profile, width and fill, correct expression and used her ears really well. Correct length of neck, a little long cast compared to 1st. Excellent bone and beautiful tidy feet. Good rear angulation and moved well both ways.
