I would like to thank the Miniature Bull Terrier Club, its members and the Committee for the warm and friendly welcome and generous hospitality. Also, to my ring Stewards, who did a sterling job in making sure everything ran smoothly, including Santa’s arrival. Not forgetting the exhibitors who brought their charges under me, thank you. I had a wonderful day; it was a privilege and a pleasure to have judged this Festive Show. My observations on the day are that fronts, overall conformation and mouths need more attention from breeders, in order to preserve the correct typey ness and balance of the breed. Puppy Bitch Class was the class of the day and on a different day you could place the top five in any order, it was that close.

1st GIFFENBULL ENCORE OF ARIBAX (MR R MARTIN)
8 month old brindle dog. Slightly broken in profile, but nice width and fill, good muzzle, well placed eye and ears giving a good expression, very typey. Mouth ok at the bite, however one tight and one in standing canine, strong neck, straight front and deep brisket with nice tight feet. Top line level, short coupled, good bend of stifle and tail carriage, moved fairly well both ways, well handled. BD BOS
2nd SLOIKBULL SWEET CODY (MISS M JUERGENS)
8 month old red and white dog. Full of bone and substance. Good head with enough profile, width and fill, good mouth. Pleasing front with ample bone, slightly loose, but should tighten as he matures, good tuck up, a tad long cast, well angulated rear quarters, correct tail set, moved well both ways, well handled.

7 month old fawn and white dog. Rather immature, however, well balanced with a nicely filled and turned head with well placed ears and keen eye giving a good expression, good mouth, strong neck, good front and tidy feet, a tad long cast with good rear angulations, movement was hard to assess as he would not settle and gave his handler quite a hard time, but managed to catch a glimpse, which was enough, when he consented to move. Powerful boy full of bone and substance, Strong head with enough profile, width and fill, correct mouth, well placed eye and ears leading to a wicked expression, strong neck, good front and feet, good top line, well developed rear quarters, tail set a tad high, moved well both ways, unfortunately only one testis, very well handled and presented.

4 year old white dog with brindle ear. Well balanced dog, good wide head and muzzle, would prefer a tad more in profile, tiny eye and neat well placed ears, good expression, mouth ok, strong neck leading to a straight front and cat like feet, good length of back, top line ok, good bend of stifle, good tail sat, moved ok coming not so good going, well presented and handled.

5 year old brindle dog, Strong broad head with depth and enough fill, gentle profile and good finish, tiny eye and neat ears, good expression, mouth ok, powerful neck, straight front, tidy feet, would prefer more length of leg, consequently his movement is restricted in front and choppy in rear, well handled and presented.

11 year old brindle and white dog. Good long sweeping profile to head, ears on top, rather kind in eye, good reach of neck, front ok, a tad long cast, good rear angulations and good tail set, moved ok both ways enjoyed his day and vey well handled and presented
The quality class of the day with any of the top 5 easily changing places on another day.

8 month old black brindle and white bitch, caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Sweeping profile, good width and fill to head, piercing eye delivers a punishing expression, ears could be just a tad more on top, good mouth, elegant neck leading to a good lay of shoulder and lovely barrel front, feet could be a little tighter, beautiful topline, short backed, good rear angulations with good tail set, movement was fluid, covering the ground with ease. A very well balanced bitch, well presented and handled. BB BP BIS

Another stylish well balanced bitch with enough bone throughout, gentle sweeping profile with enough width and fill, ears bang on top, would prefer a keener eye, not the expression of 1. good mouth, lovely reach of neck, tidy front with a well developed fore chest, cat like feet, level top line and short coupled, good tuck up with good rear quarters, moved well both ways. At one with her handler well presented and handled. A very close decision. RBB RBIS

16 month old Brindle bitch. Pleasing head with gentle turn, would prefer more fill, good ear placement, mouth ok. Nice reach of neck leading to a straight front, nice tight feet, deep brisket, a tad long cast, good bend of stifle, moved reasonably well both ways. Well handled and presented.

Almost 3 year old brindle bitch. Head has classic sweeping profile with roman finish, well placed ears, would prefer a keener eye, correct mouth, ramrod straight front, feminine in bone, tidy feet, good depth of brisket and well tucked up, short enough coupled rear angulations were good and movement was true both ways. Well handled and presented.

2 year old tri colour bitch, enough profile with good width to muzzle. Oblique shaped eyes and well placed ears offer a good expression. Great connection with her handler and she never stopped showing, she definitely enjoyed strutting her stuff and was quite happy to let everyone know, indeed, it was a pleasure to go over her.
