I would like to thank the WELKS Committee for inviting me to judge the mini’s at what is my local show, just 10 minutes down the road! All dog shows should be held here! It is 3 years since I last judged and size is still a problem as are mouths which I feel should be high on breeders priorities when considering having a litter! I was conscious of the KC directive regarding instanding canines which were penalised accordingly. As always I was first and foremost looking for type and a show dog with attitude which our breed should have in spades and was very pleased with my winners.

1st BADLESMERE BLUES BROTHER AT JENABECK (MR & MR & MR & MRS B & D & K & B AUBREY MORRIS & PHILLIPS)
10 month white, good for size pup with a lovely well filled powerful head with great profile and wicked eye. Best mouth of the day. Well arched neck and good well sprung ribs. Nice short back and correct tail carriage, good round bone down to tidy feet. Put down in lovely hard condition. Moved well once settled. To be critical would like him to use his ears better! Considered for RCC but he really played his handler up, some more ringcraft needed! Pleased to award him BP
2nd CHATTANOOBA CHOO CHOO (MS MISHA NIJINSKY)
Solid red again good for size, different type to 1 and not so mature but with lots to like. Good head and eye with enough profile, carrying slight mouth fault. Good strong neck and shoulder with correct topline and good tail set. Preferred the head of 1.

White with black eye patch under the measure a nice example with a good head well filled with enough profile, well shaped dark eye and nice small ears which he used well! good neck into a nice short back and correct tail set, well let down behind, moved ok and at one with his handler.

1st BULLYSOUL CONDITION RED (MR & MRS M & K ROBB)
Solid brindle with a powerful head with turn and fill, perfect mouth and ears on top which he used well, good strong neck and shoulder with correct topline and good tailset, moved and handled well, pushed hard for top honours which on another day I’m sure will be his.
2nd ALOUKANNA HOLD YOUR FIRE (MR M DODWELL)
Dark brindle and white a bigger type to 1 and not behaving on the day. Lovely headpiece with fill and profile unfortunately carrying a mouth fault I couldn’t overlook. Well set ears bang on top, nice dark eye. Good shoulders and bone down to tidy feet. Tail set a little high. Moved and handled well once he settled down.

1st SHOOTER VON DER ALTEN VESTE (ATCAT01585DEU) (MR G SCHERZER)
A dog I judged in Germany when he was just a baby and liked a lot, he has certainly grown on into a lovely example of our breed from all angles. Shown in pristine, hard condition and although a little over the measure showed correct balance to size, a real bull terrier in miniature. Typey black brindle and white with a powerful masculine head with turn, fill and unbroken profile, topped off with a correct mouth. Ears bang on top which he used well, most wicked of expressions attained by desired eye shape, long strong neck to good shoulders and topline, tail well set, good round bone and movement true fore and aft CC, his second I’m sure his title is not far away! DCC
2nd CH ITA TIMEWILLTELL FRANKY'S DEMIDREAM (ATCAU01038ITA) (MRS V CIRTICA)
All white, different type to one but with a lot of the same qualities. Lovely head, eye and expression with perfect mouth. Nice long neck leading to well laid shoulders level topline and shapely quarters. Showed non-stop and his excellent movement coming and going helped to secure him RCC. Just preferred the bone and substance of CC winner. RDCC

8 month all white with brindle eye patch, still quite immature but coming along nicely. Lovely small ears which she used well. Shown in excellent condition with lovely make and shape, just needs to body up which should come with age. Good shoulder and shapely quarters, showed and moved well.

Shapely and attractive brindle and white with a good head with width, fill and expression. Lovely reach of neck leading to good shoulders, with a nice level back and good well angulated rear end. Would like a better tail set. Showed her socks off and moved well both ways.

All white that was good for size unexaggerated attractive head with enough turn and fill to suffice and complemented with a wicked eye. Mouth fault. Good neck leading to level topline and good tail set. Moved OK both ways.

All white with black ears, good for size with a lovely feminine head with turn, fill, an unbroken profile and perfect mouth. Good body shape and with strong bone down to tidy feet. Tail set a little high on the move which she did well both ways.
2nd HOFSTETTER MY INTIMATE (MRS J WRIGHT)
White, a little over the measure but with a wicked eye and good mouth, profile OK, nice body shape with good topline and well set tail. Nice straight round bone to good feet, moved OK. Just preferred the size of 1

My star of the day belying her 6 years of age. Typy brindle and white of correct size, a real Bullterrier in miniature. With a lovey head, well filled and turned with good finish. Small dark eye and well- placed ears giving her a real varmitty expression. Good bone and substance for her size. Enough length of neck leading to a well laid shoulder, Good level topline held well on the move. Well sprung rib and well angulated hindquarters. Moved very well with a real jaunty gait which in the end won her BCC and BOB over a classy dog! BCC BOB

Classic dark brindle and white put down in super condition, with a well- filled and turned head with unbroken sweeping profile. A smaller eye would perfect her expression but well made overall and with a solid topline that held well on the move, which was good in both directions and earned her the RBCC
