Eye-catching small white bitch with black ears, beautifully curved profile with good width and fill, tiny triangular eyes giving the most wicked expression, ears bang on top, correct bite and canines ok, nice front, good bone for size, to be pedantic I would like a bit more rear angulation but her head and expression won it for me and pleased to award her BOB and RBIS BOB

Once again many thanks to the Scottish Bull Terrier Club Committee for inviting me to judge for them, this time it was the Miniature Bull Terrier classes. As ever the club was very friendly and welcoming with great hospitality. Thank you to the exhibitors for their support, though sadly a change in usual judging order, with the classes being moved to the beginning of the show, meant some were unable to make it and one exhibitor missed their class. I was very pleased to find my best of breed, who then went onto be awarded Reserve Best in Show by agreement with my co-judge Jaime Emett (Brookbully).

1st DUVESSA SPICE IS NICE AT SEAYESS (MR IAIN SHAW)
15 month old red and white bitch excels in head type, beautifully filled, curved and wide and with fabulous muzzle strength. Punishing expression with excellent eye and ear. Mouth is classic undershot with canines forward. Good length of neck into a shoulder that is placed a little steeply with a short upper arm. Good bone for size but I felt she could carry more weight which would help her look less long cast. Small rounded feet. Good tail set. Rear angulation is a little steep and rear movement was close. Topline was held on the move. Presented in hard condition, shows well. I would like to see her body up and mature on which she has time to do.

18 month solid red bitch, super balance and size. Very neat and well made show girl. Classic head with gentle profile, would like a tad more fill and power to complete the picture but a good expression from small eye and well placed thin ears. Perfect mouth, decent underjaw, beautifully feminine neck into a super front – dead straight with enough bone for size. Excellent small cat feet. Well rounded forechest. Lovely bodylines, really well put together with a good shoulder and upper arm. Carrying the right amount of weight, topline was excellent and held on the move. Good tail set and rear angulation. Moved well both ways in a very business-like manner – driving forward from well muscled back end. Shown beautifully in tip-top condition she just couldn’t be denied. Best Bitch, Best of Breed and Res. Best in Show. BB BOB RBIS

1st INT/LUX CH ANGELS WARRIORS TINY FOREVER (MRS LYNN GLASS)
5 year old red and white fully mature bitch – later learned she is the mother of my BOB. Lovely, long head with gentle profile, just enough fill, mouth just has one tight canine. Would prefer a tad more muzzle strength. Excellent eye and small thin well placed ears. Beautiful neck. Front is a little loose on the move with elbows out and a slightly steep shoulder. Good bone and lovely round tight feet. Good body lines, well sprung rib with solid topline which held on the move. Rear movement was excellent, with real drive. Good tail set and hard muscular rear. A little longer in the leg than the other 2 bitches in the line up but still retained a good balanced outline. Shown very well in lovely condition. Reserve Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed. RBB
