Thank you to the MBTC committee for inviting me to judge the dogs at the Easter show. It was a privilege to be part of the day and I would like to thank the exhibitors for allowing me to judge their dogs. Adele and I had a tough choice for Best in Show but it was a unanimous decision and a worthy winner. As always, the day was fun and I enjoyed watching the junior handlers have a go. Just glad I didn’t have to critique the Easter Bunny!

1st DANBULL DAINTY DIABLO BY GRANDOPERA (MR & MRS & MRS D & E & V CLARK & CLARK & FOX)
7 months old. Chunky lad. Wide muzzle with fill. A small eye and correct ear placement. More masculine than 2nd place with a heavier bone set. A little over the measure but in proportion. Moved well when he calmed down a little. RBD
2nd HOWFENBULLS DARK KNIGHT (MR & MRS S & N BATTEL)
7 months old. Solid black brindle. Narrow muzzle with sweeping head, small set eyes and correct ear placement, correct mouth. Angulation not as pleasing as one. Plenty of potential as he grows.

14 months old white. Pleasing head with ample fill, perfect bite and correct ear set and keen expression. Good reach of neck and nice shoulders. Moved well both ways. Was well handled and stood out in the ring. BD RBIS BOS
2nd OLYMPUSBULYS ATLAS (MRS & MR T & S DENT)
13 months old solid black brindle. Another substantial boy. Correct bite, decent filled head with ears set on top. Slightly over size but in proportion. Moved well both ways with a powerful stride. Lacking slightly in angulation.
3rd FRANKENMINIBULL ARAN (IMP HUN) (MS I SINCLAIR & KISS)
15 months old white dog. Decent head with fill. Incorrect bite. On size with a short back. Wasn’t happy on the day and didn’t show to his best

Khan Stocky brindle boy. Good head with decent fill and neat ear set. Short in the leg but moved well around the ring entertaining as he goes.

Super quality well balanced black brindle, with a beautiful sweeping profile with fill, mouth correct, small dark eye, ear placement could be a tad better, long elegant neck and a barrel forechest, she stands four square with plenty of bone for size. Correct tail set and tight feet. Moved with drive coming and going. Pleased to award this promising youngster BB and went on to win BIS BB BPIS BIS

Compact brindle and white with a gentle profile and enough fill. Correct mouth and ear placement with she used well. Long reach of neck into a straight front, good spring of rib and shapely rear quarters. Moved ok coming and going and in excellent condition.
3rd GLOSSYBLACK FROZEN E WARBONNET OF DOFRO NAF TAF (MR & MRS D CATILINA)
Feminine black brindle with a sweeping profile and fill. Small well placed ears and eye giving a super expression. Mouth fault. Long reach of neck into a strong front, short back and stands four square. Enough bone for size and cat like feet, moved well both ways.

Correct mouth, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, enough spring of rib and a good top line, correct tail set and lovely tight feet, moved ok coming and going. Handled to perfection and in top condition.

Feminine brindle bitch with correct make and shape, head has good length with a gentle profile, piercing expression from small dark eye, mouth fault, good reach of neck, sprung rib, and depth of brisket, correct top line, well muscled rear quarters and enough bone for size, moved ok coming and going. Very well handled.
3rd OLYMPUSBULYS ATHENA (MRS & MR & MR & MRS D & R & J & J WILSON & HARPER)
Quality feminine black brindle whose head has good length and a keen expression from a well shaped eye, correct mouth, balanced and well made throughout with enough bone for substance, covers the ground well.

Brindle with gentle profile and small dark eye, correct ear placement which she used well, correct bite, enough length of neck into clean shoulders, level top line and correct tail set, still a youngster who made her handler work hard. Tight fitting jacket and presented well.

Cobby but still feminine black brindle with a well turned and filled head, dark eye and ears bang on top, mouth fault, good reach of neck into a strong front, plenty of bone for size, shapely rear quarters that gave her the drive to cover the ground well. Every inch a show girl.
2nd KILTONTHORPE MIDNIGHT MOON (MISS K MANSELL)
Black brindle with gentle profile, small dark eye, ear placement good but needs to use them more often, straight front and deep fore chest, plenty of bone for size, small tight cat like feet, moved freely but a touch more drive needed.

Black brindle with enough length of head but needs more fill, small dark well placed triangular eye, level bite, long elegant neck, slightly long cast, correct tail set and well angulated rear, moved ok, presented well.
